When I was telling you yesterday about meeting the neighbour as she was turning out her streetlight the picture below is what I was referring to.
The switches along with the fancy covers were just installed so people are not sure if they are now paying for their private light or not, waiting for their next power bill.

Stopped at the flower market to kill a bit of time while waiting for Jutsama . Wandered around and ended up in the regular day market. Just bought some dried mango and papaya.

I couldn't figure out what she was selling - tobacco |
Blue Rice - who knew it could taste so great! It can be used for any side, even sticky rice and mango! All depends on how it is cooked. The blue colour comes from a flower that grows wild along fence lines. It is commonly used in making gelatin desserts.

Tabby of the day! |
We went to the Royal Craft Show about 5 and it turned out to be a lecture that you had to pay for so we hightailed it out of there and went to find dog food for the Crazy Canuck. Sumana stopped for a banana roti - fried dough plus margarine, sweetened condensed milk and as if that was not sweet enough they added sugar! Didn't try it ....maybe if there had been chocolate involved?
Arrived home to find Crazy Canuck running down the road. He recognized the car and as soon as I opened the back door he jumped in. He chewed the wooden fence (sticks of thin bamboo) and escaped through barbed wire. He has a few good scratches to show for his escapade! We fixed the fence with some wire racks and rope so hopefully that will contain him until the handyman replaces the fencing.
Went down to 24 today, I actually find it a bit cool, sitting here with a sweater on! Boowho...... Two more sleeps and then on the move! Picked up my passport with a shiny new Visa in it.
