Farangs do not bend that way.

Started yesterday with a two hour massage.

I had a Thai massage years ago, it was painful and miserable, I swore I would never have one again. Last week I had a foot, shoulder and back massage but got talked into it today. I was guaranteed it would not hurt. Sumana told the masseuse that Farangs do not bend like the Thais and to be gentle. It did not hurt, it was wonderful. The two hours of bliss cost a whooping 14 dollars CDN. AMAZING!  Sumana had the three hour massage so to kill time I went next door and had my hair washed and blown dry - great job for $3.20 CDN.  WOW

We went for lunch to a very upscale resort up the mountain - ice coffee cost more than I paid to get my hair done!  Really nice atmosphere and the food was great.
Drove up the other mountain and visited with a friend of hers, she rents bungalows for 600 TB a night $24, beautifully decorated in vintage Thai style, outdoor showers and full kitchens, a real bargain. Getting there would be somewhat challenging though.

Arrived back in Changmai just in time to water the garden - took both of us about an hour. It is stunning but difficult to capture on camera. She has a sprinkler system but it does not get to the flowers.

Best wash & blow dry in Changmai $3.20

So, for anyone out there who has experienced just how uncomfortable the hair washing chairs are at home you will appreciate this. The chairs are quite high and you lay down on them with the hairdresser standing behind you. Your neck is supported by cushions and just to be sure you are comfie you get a massage on your neck and head after the washing is done! Ears included!
Massage - for future reference.

Flower of the day
Below is a small example of the driving/parking I was telling you about yesterday. Just pulled over to the other side of the road to buy some mangos. In reality it is probably safer than trying to cross on foot.
