Run around day + CRAZY CANUCK

We had to drive into Chang Mai and the whole time Sumana was driving she was telling me again how much she hates the city because the Chinese tourists don't know how to walk or drive in Thailand. But the big thing is that there is no parking and the police lock tires - happened to her once and the story gets more lively every time she tells it.  Anyhow, we did what was needed and then went for lunch.
There was limited choice at the side of the road where we stopped- chicken and rice or papaya salad. I ordered the salad cause the chicken was hanging in a window. I said to the girl " mai phet"  - which means not spicy. Well, for her it was probably bland but it set my mouth on fire - I quickly ordered a plain rice and that helped a bit. WOW WEE -

After lunch we went to pick up Tippy and the three of us went for a pedicure - the massage and the hairdresser from earlier in the week were a bargain compared to this. But, can't always win!

We went to the "Walmart" of Thailand - the "Big C" looking for hose nozzles then returned home.

There is a huge steel gate at the end of the driveway and Sumana warned me that Canuck will try to get out of it. What she didn't tell me is that he can actually open the gate.
Well, I went for a walk, closed the gate, and the next thing I know I looked back and there is Canuck running down the street the opposite way. I hightailed after him but he was having no part of it - he was running away from me full speed, I was slowing down the traffic with the frantic waving of my arms and pointing up ahead at the loose dog. After about five minutes, which seemed like twenty minutes, a truck came from the opposite direction. Luckily, for me, Canuck decided he would chase that one - so he turned around and started biting the truck tires, running around it in circles. He went past me and was heading around the corner when Sumana got to the end of the gate by her house and screamed at him in Thai. Canuck just ran into the yard as if nothing had happened. Meanwhile, I show up sweating like a pig but relieved that he was not killed by a car or that he had not jumped on a cyclist as he is known to do. I have renamed him Crazy Canuck! Geez, 36 degrees and I'm out chasing this crazy dog up and down the street - I am sure the drivers were amused by my antics but not at the dog chasing them!

From here on he will be referred to as Crazy Canuck!

My favorite shirt of the day!
Other than Canucks escapade it was a pretty quite day for a change!

And no, I am not posting these at 4:30 am - I just have not changed the time on my computer and I think there is a delay from when I push publish until it actually gets loaded!

 Enjoy your day!
